Jupiter Wagons: Supply of Batteries for Vande Bharat Trains

Indian manufacturer Jupiter Electric Mobility Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of Jupiter Wagons, has secured a contract with Siemens to supply 36 innovative auxiliary Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) batteries for nine Vande Bharat trains. The total battery capacity will be 72.8 kWh, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

Furthermore, the new battery has passed rigorous technical qualification by Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), certifying it suitable for rolling stock use.
