Company history
The history of Kievguma dates back to 1930, when the Kievkauchuk plant was founded.
In 1931, it joined the Main Rubber Industry Directorate of the People’s Commissariat of Heavy Industry and was renamed “Chervonyi Humovyk” (“Red Rubber Worker”).
In 1994, the plant was reorganized into Kievguma OJSC, and in 2008 became Kievguma LLC.
In 2013, the company relocated its production facilities from Kyiv to a new, modern site in Brovary, significantly increasing efficiency and product quality.
Product range and applications
Today, Kievguma offers an extensive range of finished products — technical seals, gaskets, hoses, mats, consumer and medical items, as well as goods for children, sports, and agriculture.
A key product line includes personal protective equipment, such as Class 0 and 1 dielectric gloves, certified to EN 60903:2003 (IEC 60903:2014).
The company also produces silicone and latex components for medical and food-industry use.
Production capacities and personnel
The plant covers 21 000 m² of production space across 3 hectares and employs about 400 qualified specialists.
The production complex comprises four workshops — the mixing workshop, the non-standard extrusion workshop, the molded-products workshop, and the soft-products workshop.
Each is equipped with modern European presses, extruders, and vulcanizers.
Mixing workshop — the foundation of quality
This unit operates five rubber mixers with a total capacity of up to 1 000 tons of compound per month.
All processes are monitored by an automated laboratory system that ensures precise ingredient dosing and stable quality.
The workshop also features a calender line and a drum vulcanizer for producing reinforced sheets up to 5 mm thick and 1 meter wide.
Non-standard products workshop
Here, rubber profiles and seals are produced by extrusion.
Three continuous-vulcanization lines from Rubicon GmbH (Germany) process EPDM, TPE, MBH, and silicone compounds.
Dimensional accuracy is checked using a Montech projector, and marking is applied with a Leibinger printer.
The workshop’s annual output reaches 1 000 tons of seals used in construction, automotive, and agricultural industries.
Soft products workshop
This section manufactures latex, silicone, TPE, and plastic products using 10 thermoplastic machines of horizontal and vertical design.
The latex unit prepares compounds from natural latex according to precise formulations.
Rotary machines produce a variety of shapes — from baby nipples to fitness accessories, sanitary mats, and sports goods.
Molded products workshop
This workshop operates about 40 presses — compression, vacuum, and injection types made in Germany, Italy, Taiwan, and Ukraine.
Quality control is performed on NELA NAVI 01 (Germany) and Zehn (Italy) systems, ensuring compliance with European precision standards.
Annual capacity — up to 2 000 tons of molded products.
Design and engineering department
Highly skilled engineers use SolidWorks and Cimatron E for 3D design of molds and tooling.
Machining is performed on DOOSAN (Korea), C-Tek (Italy), and Aristech CNC 460 (Taiwan) equipment with a precision of up to 2 microns.
Kievguma provides a full production cycle — from design and mold manufacturing to final product output.
Quality control system
A fully equipped testing laboratory, accredited under ISO/IEC 17025:2005, performs mechanical, chemical, and electrical tests.
