Italian company SRT is expanding its expertise in track machinery

It has signed a preliminary agreement to acquire 100% of the shares of local company Colmar Technik. The deal is valued at €25 million and is expected to be completed in August, according to railway journal Railway Supply.
According to SRT CEO Lorenzo Peroni, this acquisition will allow the company to complement its portfolio, which currently focuses on equipping wagons for track works and rail grinding machines.

Colmar Technik has been in the market for over 60 years. Their production portfolio includes cranes, excavators, multi-purpose tractors, industrial traction equipment, ballast cleaning systems, and other track machines.
The company’s current order portfolio exceeds €40 million, and the expected revenue for the current year is €20 million. Colmar operates two manufacturing plants in Arco-Poleggi and Costa di Rovigo, with subsidiaries in the United Kingdom, the United States, China, and Colombia.
