Egidijus Lazauskas, CEO of LTG, participated in the Economic Forum held in Karpacz, Poland, where discussions focused on the development of railway infrastructure and its significance for the region, as reported by the railway portal Railway Supply.
A priority for LTG is reducing the environmental footprint, decreasing road accidents, stimulating the labor market, and fostering industrial development, all of which are part of the benefits of timely investments and a well-developed railway infrastructure for the countries.

Currently, one of the largest infrastructure projects in Lithuania’s history, Rail Baltica, is underway, connecting Lithuania and the Baltic countries to Europe via a European railway route.
Integration with Europe is a strategic goal for the companies of the Lithuanian Railways Group, and they are taking consistent steps toward diversifying to the West. LTG Cargo and the group’s subsidiary companies are already transporting goods in western directions.
Intermodal cargoes are transported four times a week (both ways) from Lithuania to Duisburg in Germany. In June, regular intermodal cargo transport started on the Kaunas – Slawkow route.
Furthermore, to strengthen rail connections with Poland, customers can transport goods to the Prusków terminal, located right next to Warsaw.
