18.12.2025
Inland Rail Beveridge to Albury recorded fresh progress in Victoria after nearly 600 local workers completed a 40-hour non-stop works program between Wandong and Benalla, as reported by Rail Express.

For the intensive shift, Inland Rail construction partner John Holland mobilised hundreds of local contractors and businesses, bringing in fencing contractors, concreters, machinery operators, geotechnical teams, electricians, signal technicians, truck drivers, engineers and traffic controllers.
This is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

Stations, bridges and next steps for Tranche 2
Russell Hamilton, Inland Rail Beveridge to Albury Project Director, said it was positive to see so many workers onsite delivering the project. He said the new bridges at Short and Hamilton streets in Broadford are progressing well, while the Benalla and Euroa station modernisation projects are well underway, including works such as the Euroa upgrade covered by Railway Supply. He also said work is ramping up at the Hume Freeway sites at Tallarook and Seymour.
Hamilton added that all eight Beveridge to Albury Tranche 2 sites will be under construction once major works begin at Inland Rail’s Marchbanks Road site in Broadford next year; readers can also refer to the official Inland Rail Beveridge to Albury project page for background on the corridor. He thanked local communities for their patience and cooperation as the works continue.
