The Silver Line trains will run along the Trinity Railway Express (TRE) route with brief stops at each station.

Once operational, the DART Silver Line will transform into a 26-mile suburban railway, covering seven cities in North Texas, including Grapevine, Coppell, Dallas, Carrollton, Addison, Richardson, and Plano, extending from DFW Airport.

The new hybrid Silver Line trains are manufactured by the Swiss company Stadler and assembled in Salt Lake City, Utah.

They are equipped with Diesel Multiple Units (DMUs) and modern amenities such as bi-directional seating, overhead luggage compartments, and interior CCTV cameras.

Comprehensive train trials are expected to extend until summer 2025, conducted in segments to ensure the functionality of each track section and the appropriate response of the trains.
