Only the frame remains from the original vehicle: engineers replaced the body, bogies, interior, and traction system, creating a modern and safe transport solution.

Modern technology in the hydrogen tram

The hydrogen tram consumes just 1.5 kWh per kilometer and can travel more than 320 km on a single fill, storing 42.7 kg of hydrogen in its tanks.

Chinese company Guohong Hydrogen Energy supplies the fuel cells, and the hydrogen storage system is impact-resistant and meets strict safety standards.

Plans to expand the hydrogen tram route

By September, the route is expected to be extended to 778 meters, and the number of tram cars could increase to six to support higher tourist demand.

This project combines sustainable transport and tourism, offering passengers a unique travel experience in a comfortable, technology-driven tram.

Changchun is setting an example of sustainable development and promoting hydrogen-powered urban mobility in China.
