High Speed Rail Authority reappointments keep Jill Rossouw as Chair, while Ian Hunt and Dyan Perry OBE continue as board members.

The reappointments maintain continuity at HSRA⁠ as the high-speed rail project moves through its planning and development phase.

High Speed Rail Authority reappointments support continuity

Rossouw brings extensive infrastructure-sector experience to the role, having held directorships across a range of major public and private projects.

During her time as HSRA Board Chair, the authority delivered the business case for the Newcastle to Sydney section of the high-speed rail network. Infrastructure Australia⁠, the independent advisory body, later supported that section progressing to the next stage of project development.

Hunt returns to the HSRA Board with experience across major transport and logistics infrastructure. His background includes board roles and chief executive-level leadership, including his former position as CEO of the Moorebank Intermodal Company.

He provides the board with expertise in project delivery, contract management, risk and governance.

Board experience across high-speed rail and infrastructure

Perry’s rail career spans more than 30 years in senior roles on major rail projects. Her previous experience includes leading High Speed 1 and serving as a board director for the East West Rail UK project.

She provides the HSRA Board with deep experience in leading and operating high-speed rail in the United Kingdom. She was recognised as an Officer of the Order of the British Empire for her contribution to UK rail services.

Rossouw has been reappointed as HSRA Chair for three years. Hunt has been reappointed as a board member for two years, while Perry’s new term runs for six months.
