For another Czech steelworks, Třinecké železárny, the plan was to transfer 220,000 tons of ore, but ZSSK Cargo exceeded this plan by 51,000 tons.
The main plan for receiving railway ore for the Bratislava port and the Austrian recipient Voestalpine was also fulfilled.
In addition, 509,000 tons of iron ore were transferred via the Uzhgorod-Matevce crossing to the Slovak steelworks U. S. Steel Kosice, which exceeded the plan by almost 54,000 tons.
“For the fourth month, U. S. Steel steelworks has been operating at maximum capacity. Unfortunately, only one type of cargo is directed to this crossing, which is iron ore for this recipient,” clarified the ZSSK Cargo representative.
Earlier, it was reported that over 1 million tons of iron ore were transferred in March.
