Will Dneprovagonremstroy Build Locomotives?

At the meeting on April 23 the shareholders of JSC Dnepropetrovsk Plant for the Repair and Construction of Passenger Cars (Dneprovagonremstroy) intend to consider the issue of expanding the registered activities. In particular, it is planned to add “production of railway locomotives and rolling stock”, informs Railway Supply magazine referring to gmk center.

According to the agenda of the meeting, it is planned to register the following types of economic activities in the Unified State Register: forging, stamping; powder metallurgy; metal processing and coating of metals; production of metal structures, etc.

Locomotives modernization: diversification of locomotive repair depot activity

In addition, the shareholders of the company plan to consider the issue of profit distribution.

In 2020, Dneprovagonremstroy increased its net profit 4.2 times compared to 2019 – up to UAH 34.16 million.

According to the National Securities and Stock Market Commission, in the fourth quarter of 2020, more than 98.8% of the shares of Dneprovagonremstroy JSC belonged to the Unibudinvest investment fund. The company’s beneficiaries are Leonid and Natalya Yurushev, as well as Anastasia Zholinskaya.
