Innovative customs control systems are being introduced at border crossings in Uzbekistan. Large-sized inspection and screening complexes are installed to control railway cargo. The project is being implemented through a grant provided to the country by the government of the People’s Republic of China. The installation of new modern complexes is planned at 7 railway customs checkpoints. One of them is located at the Uzbekiston border customs post. During the period from March 1 to March 15 of this year, the complex inspected 6692 cars.

This complex, in fact, is a dimensional scanner that monitors wagons and containers without opening them and stopping the train. Inspection is carried out when the train is moving at a speed of 8 to 30 km / h.

When the freight train passes the scanning stage, an image is displayed on the operators’ screens, which fully displays all the transported goods. This allows you to significantly speed up the process of passing customs control and helps to identify contraband.
