This is reported by the railway magazine Railway Supply with reference to UZ. The corresponding order was published by the UZ on December 24. The ban will remain in effect until canceled and applies to carriage in all types of wagons.

The deputy director of the department for commercial work of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” Valery Tkachev said that now there is a cluster of abandoned trains in the direction of seaports.

In total, there are more than 100 abandoned trains on the UZ network. As a reminder, since December 11, Ukrzaliznytsya has prohibited the shipment of ore in the direction of Kosice through Uzhgorod. The ban covered the shipment of ore for the US Steel plant. However, the text of the order is not available on the UZ website.

It is also worth noting that on November 4, the second electrified track with a length of 6.5 km was opened on the Chernomorsk – Beregovaya section. The total cost of the project was UAH 460 million.
