UZ accepted 50% fewer wagons for transportation in 2022

In 2022 Ukrzaliznytsia accepted 2.05 million loaded wagons of all types for transportation, which is 49.9% less than last year. It is reported by Railway Supply magazine with reference to Rail.insider.
The volume of loaded gondola cars accepted for transportation decreased by 54.2%, covered wagons by 37.7%, grain carriers by 29.6%, cement carriers by 53.6%, mineral carriers by 54.5% and pellet carriers by 72.0%.
Despite a significant reduction in loading, in 2022, gondola cars, with a share of 60.4%, hold the lead in the structure of cars accepted for transportation by type.
