During a meeting of representatives of UZ with senders and owners of agricultural cargo on Thursday, it was announced that for 19 days of October, the volume of loading of grain cargo amounted to 1 million 916 thousand tons. This is reported by Railway Supply magazine with reference to Rail.insider.

Grain transportation

Grain cargoes account for 30% of the total loading (6 million 345 thousand tons), which is a fairly high figure. The average daily loading volumes for 19 days of October amounted to 99 thousand tons. For the same period last year, this figure was 113 thousand tons.

It is worth noting that on some days the loading volumes were even higher than a year ago. Despite the massive missile attack on October 10, the participants of the railway transportation returned to their usual work literally the next day.

Most grain goes to the ports of Big Odessa. As for the western crossings, the line here has not changed significantly over the past week and, as of October 19, is about 15 thousand wagons.

Recall that in September the transportation of grain amounted to 3 million 407 thousand tons, which is a record since the introduction of martial law.
