In August this year, Poczta Polska and Ukrposhta signed a memorandum of cooperation in the field of postal services, innovations, logistics and business relations. One of the points of the memorandum also mentions the possibility of transporting parcels by rail in international traffic. No sooner said than done: recently a mail wagon appeared in the original livery. It is reported by Railway Supply magazine with reference to Kurier Kolejowy.

Thanks to the signed document, the existing cooperation will be more effectively coordinated and intensified. The joint action is aimed at facilitating the purchasing process for the citizens of Poland and Ukraine, as well as strengthening the leading role of national post offices in their home markets.

Zangezur corridor: Armenian-Azerbaijani agreement seems far away

It is worth emphasizing that since the beginning of the 21st century, Poczta Polska has not used railway services for the transport of parcels in mail wagons. In the recent period of the implementation of such links, they did not play a big role in logistical processes. In turn, Ukrposhta, after an almost twenty-year break, began to send parcels within the country by Ukrzaliznytsia trains since April of this year.
