Ukraine is interested in jointly developing of rail container traffic on the Asia-Europe route with Slovakia.

This was stated by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmigal after a meeting with the Prime Minister of Slovakia Eduard Heger in Uzhgorod, reports the railway magazine Railway Supply.

According to the head of government, the capacity of the Ukrainian railways allows attracting additional freight traffic through the country.

Shmigal also noted that the creation of intermodal logistics terminals for handling cargo at the Ukrainian-Slovak border is a promising area of ​​cooperation with Slovakia.

Let us remind you that in October the Slovak side stated that the Dobra terminal on the border of Slovakia and Ukraine practically does not work. Only a few Eurasian trains pass through the terminal.
