At the end of 2020, imports of rails from Russia to Ukraine decreased by 16.9% compared to the previous year, to 8.5 thousand tons, for a total amount of $ 7.7 million. Exports of Ukrainian rails to Russia in 2020 decreased by 37.6% – up to 6.4 thousand tons.

Overall import of rails to Ukraine in 2020 increased by 11.4% – up to 13 thousand tons, in monetary terms – by 34.6%, up to $ 14 million.

The largest countries – exporters of rails to Ukraine:

  • Russia – $ 7.7 million (unchanged by 2019);
  • Germany – $ 2.7 million (-22.2%);
  • Austria – $ 1.3 million (-59.6%)

Overall export of Ukrainian rails in 2020 decreased by 53.3% – to 7.34 thousand tons, in monetary terms – by 52%, to $ 8.1 million. The largest countries – importers of Ukrainian rails:

  • Russia – $ 5.2 million (-43.8% by 2019);
  • Uzbekistan – $ 0.6 million;
  • Belarus – $ 0.28 million
