At the next Ukraine-EU summit, to be held on October 12, a decision will be made on Ukraine’s joining the European transit system.

Ukraine's joining the European transit system

This was stated by the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olga Stefanishina, reports Railway Supply magazine with reference to interfax.com.ua

“We plan that at the Ukraine-EU summit there will already be a decision on Ukraine’s joining the European transit system,” she said at the conference “Results of 6 Years of Implementation of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU”.

An agreement for the supply of 100 passenger cars was signed between Ukrzaliznytsya and KVSZ

Most likely, telecommunications services will be the first to receive the internal market regime. This will mean sectoral integration with the European Union. Recall that the first steps towards the implementation of the European system for the transit of goods were made in Ukraine in 2016 and they began with the introduction of amendments to the Customs Code.
