Two shunting diesel locomotives of TEM18DM series were shipped to Mongolia.

Bryansk Machine-Building Plant (subsidiary of JSC Transmashholding) sent two TEM18DM shunting locomotives to Mongolia under the 2019 contract, as railway magazine «Railway Supply» reports citing Transmashholding website.

It is planned to supply fourteen 2TE25KM diesel locomotives and ten TEM18DM diesel locomotives until 2021. All locomotives will work on the Ulaanbaatar railway.

The design of the locomotives includes changes that ensure the protection of the equipment and the locomotive crew from dust (special climatic conditions of Mongolia).

TEM18DM diesel locomotive is produced in six modifications and has been being used in Mongolia since 2011.
