When there’s a problem, there’s a solution: following this idea, LTG Cargo Ukraine began offering its new service several months ago – the transportation of wagons, including hopper wagons, from Ukraine, as reported by the railway portal Railway Supply.

Transportation of Hopper Wagons from Ukraine

During the past grain season, the services of LTG Cargo Ukraine proved invaluable to customers. However, the company’s mission goes beyond satisfying the needs of farmers.

“This project is a real feat, involving coordination with four railway companies – ‘Ukrzaliznytsia,’ PKP Cargo, PKP LHS, and LTG Cargo. To illustrate the complexity, consider a specific example: a journey from Hrubieszów (Ukraine) to Šeštokai (Lithuania), which includes multiple stations. We take care of all aspects, from renting European gauge wagons to changing track gauge, crane operations, locomotive maneuvers, and the journey itself. It’s a massive task, and we guarantee seamless operation. Nevertheless, we acknowledge that wagon transport presents unique challenges that may not be widely known. For instance, the high costs associated with PKP LHS public roads require storing wagons on the Ukrainian side before moving them as a complete set. Operations on the Polish side are also complex, limited by track lengths, and require precise coordination,” says Andriy Yakymchuk, a representative of LTG Cargo Ukraine.

The determination and resolve of LTG Cargo Ukraine to overcome these challenges deserve praise.

Their capabilities demonstrate that through innovation, determination, and collaboration, we can turn obstacles into opportunities.
