In recent years, there has been active development of transport infrastructure in major European cities, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

Bozankaya A.S. has delivered the first two out of 10 trams

One of the notable examples is Krakow, which is currently selecting new trams.

The tender for the supply of 90 trams is divided into three lots: 30 three-section unidirectional trams, 30 three-section bidirectional trams, and 30 four-section trams.

The total initial contract price is €316.5 million.

Two companies are participating in this tender: the Turkish company Bozankaya and the Swiss company Stadler. Interestingly, Bozankaya has offered significantly lower prices compared to its competitor.

For the first two lots, the Turkish company proposed €211.5 million, which is more than 35% lower than Stadler’s offer of €333.3 million.

For the third lot of four-section trams, only Bozankaya submitted a bid, with an offer of €139.8 million.

Founded in 1989, Bozankaya has long established itself as a reliable manufacturer of electric transport.

The company actively participates in international projects, providing modern solutions for urban transport. Its trams are known for their high energy efficiency and contemporary design.

On the other hand, Stadler, a Swiss giant in railway transport manufacturing, also boasts significant experience and reputation.

Founded in 1942, the company now has offices worldwide. Stadler’s products are distinguished by high-quality standards and innovative technologies.

The advantages of Bozankaya’s proposals are evident: a significant cost reduction will allow Krakow to save funds that can be allocated to other city projects.

However, possible risks should also be considered.

It is important that the trams meet all safety and reliability standards. Therefore, the quality of the products and the reliability of the supplier are just as crucial as the price.

The tram fleet modernization project in Krakow is of great importance to the city’s residents.

Modern trams will not only improve passenger comfort but also reduce noise levels and harmful emissions into the atmosphere.

It is crucial that the winner of the tender ensures timely delivery and high-quality equipment.

The decision on the supplier will be a significant step for Krakow towards developing sustainable urban infrastructure.

Regardless of which company wins, the modernization of the tram fleet will benefit all residents of the city.
