The winner of the international tender for the construction of the station, overpass and railway tracks within Rail Baltica project has been determined

In the tender for the construction of railway track, station and overpass at Riga Airport the winner was determined. It was B.S.L. Infra association, informs Railway Supply  magazine citing Eiropas dzelzceļa līnijas, . The company is responsible for the construction of the high-speed railway Rail Baltica in Latvia.

The contract amount is 236 million euros. B.S.L.Infra is an association which includes construction companies Swietelsky AG (Austria), Binders and LNK Industries (Latvia).

“Although initially it was assumed that the total cost of construction would be 250-280 million euros, the winner of the tender proposed 236 million euros. The planned term of the work is 5 years. The Austrian company Swietelsky has almost 100 years of experience in the construction of railway infrastructure, ” explained Kaspars Vingris, Chairman of the Board of Eiropas dzelzceļa līnijas.
