The queue of wagons at one of the crossings with Romania exceeds 40 days

A difficult situation with the accumulation of wagons remains at the border crossing with Romania, Vadul-Siret-Dornesti.
This information was published by the Deputy Director of the Department of Commercial Work of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” Valeriy Tkachev in Telegram, reports Railway Supply magazine.
As of May 10, the queue of wagons in the direction of the Vadul-Siret-Dorneshty border crossing reaches 41 days. Now 4 thousand 719 units of rolling stock are sent there, most of them are loaded with grain (3 thousand 282 wagons).
It should be noted that from May 5, restrictions on the transportation of grain in the direction of Vadul-Siret began to operate.
At the same time, the second border crossing in the direction of Romania (Dyakovo-Halmeu) has cargo for only 14 days (as of May 4, the queue was 22 days).
The situation has improved somewhat at other border crossings. The largest number of cars lined up in the direction of Izov – 19 days. The Convention also applies to it.
At the border crossings with Slovakia, the queue reaches 17 (Chop-Chernaya over Tisou) and 16 days (Uzhgorod-Matevtsy). And at the Mogilev-Podolsky-Velchinets crossing (Moldova), the estimated time for the transfer of wagons is 15 days. At other joints, the queue does not exceed 10 days.
There are 31 348 wagons in queues at the western border crossings.
