The fleet of locomotives of the port “Nika-Tera” has reached 10 units

In 2020, as part of the investment program, the number of own diesel locomotives of the Nikolaev port “Nika-Tera” was brought to 10. All locomotives on the port’s balance sheet are equipped with modern control systems that ensure safe working conditions for drivers, informs Railway Supply magazine with reference to the port’s information.

“By increasing our own railway fleet, the opportunities for customers using railway transport to deliver goods to the port have been significantly expanded,” the message says.

In general, last year, capital investments of the Nika-Tera port increased by 29% compared to 2019. More than UAH 60 million have been invested in the modernization.

Nika-Tera is a part of the port business of Dmitry Firtash’s Group DF. In 2020, the terminal received 409 vessels, handling 7.3 million tons of cargo.
