Stadler Trams: Modernizing Urban Transport

Stadler manufactures these models in the Polish cities of Środa and Siedlce. They will replace outdated 6N1 trams that have been in operation for over thirty years.

Each tram is equipped with panoramic windows and has a length of 32 meters. The maximum speed of the new model reaches 80 kilometers per hour in motion.

The total capacity is 216 passengers, with 75 available seats inside. The fully low-floor design improves accessibility, while the spacious interior enhances comfort.

The design includes special zones for strollers, bicycles, and passengers with limited mobility. New bogies improve smoothness and reduce vibrations.

These engineering solutions reduce wheelset wear and protect the tracks from damage. Additionally, the trams are equipped with an automatic collision prevention system.

Stadler Expands Deliveries Beyond Germany

The contract for the delivery of TINA trams was signed in 2022. According to the agreement, the entire fleet must arrive in Rostock by the end of 2024.

In total, the city will receive 28 modern trams, improving its transport network. Their operation is scheduled to begin in 2025 as planned.

The deal is valued at approximately €100 million, as confirmed by official sources. In addition to Germany, similar models are also being delivered to the Netherlands and other countries.
