The first month of a large-scale invasion of Russian troops in Ukraine claimed the lives of 54 railway workers. Another 64 workers were injured, with varying degrees of severity. And three more are in captivity.

This was announced by the head of the board of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” Alexander Kamyshin in his Telegram channel.

”This is the most difficult part of the war for me. We won’t forgive,” Alexander Kamyshin emphasized.

He also added that the tragic incident occurred on the evening of March 25.

“During the repair of the contact network, a railway worker born in 1974 died as a result of an explosion and a railroad worker born in 1972 was wounded. The wounded railway worker is in a serious condition, he was sent to the hospital,” the head of UZ said. – Yes, the fact that the railway works on schedule has a price. And this is the highest price, it is measured by the lives of our railroad workers. We are doing and will continue to do our job well. Please close the sky.”

According to him, the closed sky will help save the lives of railway workers.
