Testing of ComfortJet train carriages has commenced

In Velim, carriages of the ComfortJet trains are undergoing testing, as reported by the railway portal Railway Supply.
At the testing grounds of the Scientific Research Institute of Railway Transport, Výzkumný Ústav Železniční (VUZ), in Velim, Czech Republic, the first six carriages of the ComfortJet train, built for the Czech Railways (ČD) by Škoda Vagonka in Ostrava, have begun testing.

In the future, each ComfortJet train will consist of nine carriages and is capable of reaching speeds of up to 230 km/h.
A consortium comprising Siemens Mobility and Škoda Group, responsible for supplying the new rolling stock, is expected to obtain permission for the operation of ComfortJet trains on railway routes in the Czech Republic and other European countries.
These new trains are intended for international routes.
