The Slovenian national carrier SŽ has announced a tender for the supply of 30 four-axle multi-system electric locomotives, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

The locomotives, with a power of up to 6.4 MW, are required to operate at a maximum speed of not less than 120 km/h.

As stated by SŽ, the new rolling stock will be intended for operation in Slovenia, Austria, Germany, Croatia, Hungary, the Czech Republic, and Serbia.
