Tender for supply of trains for the Lisbon Metro

Lisbon Metro has received bids from CRRC and Stadler for a competition to supply up to 36 three-car trains, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

It is noted that CRRC’s bid is 14.2% lower than Stadler’s – €115 million compared to €134 million, with an initial price of €138 million.
Lisbon Metro (Portugal) was launched in 1959, covering 4 lines and over 50 stations. The Lisbon Metro is widely used by locals and tourists due to its efficiency and convenience.
