“Taking into account the fact that we could not find an alternative supplier of railcars for the price that suits us, and the transition to the next stages of the tender would increase the purchase price by 30-35%, we tried to complete negotiations with an existing supplier in such a way that our interests were maximally insured. We have reached these conditions and agreed on each stage, clause of the agreement with the EBRD.” Earlier, Andrey Vasiliev, Deputy General Director for the Development of Urban Transport at TMH, General Director of Metrovagonmash, noted that the manufacturer is “in a state of confirming a contract with Tbilisi.” According to Khmaladze, payment will follow after the delivery of the wagons.
