System for detecting and classifying obstacles on the railway track

Rail Vision, an Israeli company, has successfully certified its onboard Main Line system according to European railway standards, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
The system is designed for detecting and classifying obstacles up to a distance of 2 km.

Certification confirms compliance with EN 50155, EN 50126, EN 50657, and EN 45545 standards.
Main Line utilizes visible and infrared cameras, along with machine vision and artificial intelligence technologies.
These processing capabilities enable real-time obstacle classification and warnings. Certification opens up new opportunities for Rail Vision in the growing European railway technology market.
The company has already signed contracts for supplying Main Line systems to Israel (10 sets) and a Latin American mining company in 2023.
