The contract with DB Regio, which will run from December 2028 to December 2043, includes the operation of approximately 3.6 million train kilometers per year. As part of the agreement, Stadler will provide modern trains with low emissions.

The contact-battery FLIRT Akku trains from Stadler will be able to cover non-electrified sections of up to 80 km. The energy for their operation will be accumulated while running on electrified sections. This system helps significantly reduce CO2 emissions, making transportation more environmentally friendly.

Each FLIRT Akku train from Stadler is equipped with 160 seating places, including 12 foldable ones. The trains also feature spaces for bicycles, strollers, and wheelchair users. Additionally, video surveillance systems and wireless internet are installed for passenger convenience.
