Siemens Mobility Expands MRT Orange Line with Advanced Trains and Systems
The MRT Orange Line project highlights Siemens Mobility’s cutting-edge technology for sustainable urban transport in Bangkok. Partnering with Bozankaya and ST Engineering Urban Solutions, the company will deliver 32 modern three-car trains. These trains will operate on a 35.9-kilometer route featuring underground and elevated tracks. Advanced systems, including signaling and communication, ensure seamless operations, aligning with Bangkok’s carbon reduction goals.
Siemens Mobility Enhances Blue Line Efficiency and Upgrades Northern Rail Connectivity
Siemens Mobility has secured contracts to upgrade Bangkok’s Blue Line with 21 new trains and state-of-the-art signaling systems. Covering 48 kilometers and 38 stations, this line is vital for the city. Siemens also leads intercity connectivity upgrades with the Den Chai–Chiang Rai–Chiang Khong double-track project. Spanning 219 kilometers, the initiative introduces ETCS Level 1 systems, boosting efficiency and safety for regional rail.
