The security service exposed two former heads of the structural subdivision of the Southern Railway in the Kharkiv region. During the occupation of the region, they led the strategically important railway junction in Kupyansk, through which the occupiers exported Ukrainian grain. In addition, the collaborators controlled the movement of Russian echelons with military equipment and ammunition for combat operations against the Defense Forces in the eastern direction. It is reported by Railway Supply magazine with reference to the press service of the SBU.

According to the investigation, the perpetrators are two former officials of the local division of Ukrzaliznytsia, who at the beginning of the full-scale invasion went over to the side of the aggressor. They joined the ranks of the occupation administration, where one was appointed the head of the Kupyansk “railway operation service”, and the second his deputy.
