28.03.2022
The Polish railway operator, Polskie Koleje Państwowe (PKP), is complying with the sanctions imposed by the European Union on Russian companies due to the Russian aggression against Ukraine.

This is reported by the railway magazine Railway Supply with reference to Railinsider.
“Railway operators and other companies respect the sanctions policy set by the Polish government and the European Union,” said Michal Stilger, spokesman for the PKP SA group.
At the same time, answering the question about the possibility of complete closure of the railway border crossings between Poland and Belarus, the PKP representative said that such a decision should be made at the highest level, that is, the government of the country.
As previously reported, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia called on the EU to stop road and sea communication with the Russian Federation.
