Only 66 wagons were manufactured in Ukraine in February

In February 2021 in Ukraine, according to the State Statistics Service, 66 freight rail cars and platforms were manufactured. If we compare these figures with February last year, then the production of rolling stock fell by 80.5%, informs Railway Supply magazine with reference to Rail.Insider.

The publication reminds that in January 2021, 118 freight cars were manufactured in Ukraine, which is 70.4% less than in January 2020.

Dneprovagonmash ended 2020 with a loss

A total of 184 cars have been produced in the country since the beginning of this year. The drop in production against the period January-February 2020 amounted to 75%.

Earlier, domestic car builders have repeatedly called for limiting the service life of freight cars to the norm in order to increase orders in the domestic market and save the industry.
