The key directions of the new development strategy for Middle Corridor until 2025 were discussed during a two-day meeting of the working group in Kyiv.

On Trans-Caspian International Transport Route a single logistics operator can be created

Representatives of the member countries of the International Association “Trans-Caspian International Transport Route” discussed the current state and the security measures taken on the route, made changes and additions to the charter of the Association, updated tariff rates, and also adjusted the projected volume of cargo transportation along the route for 2021, reports the railway Railway Supply magazine.

Launched a new rail freight route from Vladivostok to Finland

In connection with the expiration of the validity period, the experts of the working group agreed on new editions of the following documents:

– Agreements on the organization of container traffic in direct international rail and water communication with the participation of feeder ships between the ports of the Caspian Sea (Aktau, Baku (Alat)

– Agreements on cooperation and measures of responsibility when organizing the carriage of goods as part of container trains along the route using feeder vessels.

During the meeting, they considered the issue of creating a joint venture – a single logistics operator on the route, as well as various technological and commercial aspects related to improving the efficiency of all directions of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route.

At the same time, the meeting participants discussed the development of the Middle Corridor development strategy until 2025 and worked out measures to improve the technical, organizational and other aspects in the implementation of the cargo supply chain.

Earlier it was reported that a meeting of the working group on the development of the Trans-Caspian route was held in Kyiv.
