Japan’s Hitachi Rail has signed a € 737 million contract with Spanish carrier ILSA for the maintenance of 20 ETR 1000 series high-speed trains. The work will run for 30 years (until 2052) at the Hitachi Rail depot in Madrid.

Bombardier Sifang (JV CRRC and Alstom) has received several service contracts from Chinese carrier CR Guangzhou for a total of $ 59.7 million. The scope of services includes the maintenance of 74 high-speed trains (592 cars), including 34 CRH1B trains and CR 24 CRH1A A trains and 16 CR400AF series. All work should be completed by the end of February 2022.
The German national carrier Deutsche Bahn plans to complete the construction of the Intercity-Express (ICE) high-speed train depot in Dortmund by 2027. The new shop worth € 400 million will be able to service up to 17 trains a day.
The Japanese carrier JR Central, together with the corporations Kajima and Tobishima, intends to complete the work on the establishment of a depot for maglev trains in Nakatsugawa by the end of September 2025. In addition to the repair facilities of the depot, production lines will be located on the territory of 50 hectares.
