The Grand Paris Express project provides for the construction of metro lines 15, 16, 17 and 18, as well as extensions of line 14 in two directions. On these lines with a total length of about 200 km, which are expected to serve about 2 million passengers daily, it is planned to build at least 68 stations. This is one of the largest projects in the field of urban rail transport being implemented in Europe.
The funds allocated for the introduction of the Deutschlandticket are not enough
Nokia is about to deploy a secure multifunctional high-speed IP/MPLS network with 5G radio support. On its basis, technological wired and wireless communications will be organized on the lines, stations and depots of the Grand Paris Express network. Reliable communication of station systems, equipment on hauls and depots with the traffic control center will be a key element in ensuring the efficient operation of the metro and the implementation of a cybersecurity strategy. A video surveillance system in train cars with video broadcast to the control center will allow you to quickly respond to emerging problems and threats, improve the safety of passengers and staff. The network will also be used to support ticketing and passenger information systems.
