“Nibulon” transported 0,5 million tons of grain to Nikolaev by own wagons

LLC JV Nibulon transported 0,5 million tons of grain by its own hopper cars to the reloading terminal in Nikolaev since the beginning of operation of wagon fleet. This was reported by the company’s press service.

Agroholding sent the first batch of grain in its own cars in the summer of 2019.

108 new hopper cars of the bunker type model 19-6869 which were constructed by LLC Experimental Mechanical Plant “Karpaty” and have a loading capacity of 70,5 tons and volume of a body of 120 cubic meters, and also two locomotives of TGM4 help to reach new tops in railway transportations of the company “, – it is told in the message.

Providing all chain of loading and unloading allowed to reduce expenses by 30-40% in comparison with use of the leased cars of Ukrzaliznytsia as the company provides 5-6 turns from the center of the country to Nikolaev monthly by own cars.

The company’s task is to combine the capabilities of each type of transportation in the most functional way to optimize the logistics process and reduce the cost of transportation and loading and unloading operations.

The press service added that the company transports 60% of cargo by water, 30% – by rail and 10% – by road, informs Railway Supply magazine.

JV Nibulon LLC (founded in 1991) is one of the largest operators in the grain market of Ukraine. The company exported 4.9 million tons of grain and oilseeds in the 2019-2020 marketing year (MG, July 2019 – June 2020).
