New operator of the Viking container train in Ukraine
LTG Cargo Ukraine has become the operator of the Viking container train across the territory of Ukraine.
The Viking container train is a joint project of the railways of Lithuania, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Azerbaijan, port stevedoring companies, Klaipeda, Odessa and Black Sea ports.
“Providing services to one group of companies at the starting and ending points of the route will improve the quality of service, speed up freight traffic and expand the service of the first and last mile,” the message says.
The operator of the Viking train in Lithuania is LTG Cargo. In 10 months of 2021, Viking trains transported 31,247 TEU in Lithuania, which is 22% more than in the same period last year.
As previously reported, the Viking went to Izmail for the first time.
