MIU plans to privatize the port of Odessa
The MIU plans to leave only the Yuzhny port under state control. The department also plans to put the Odessa sea trade port up for privatization.
This was announced by the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov at a meeting of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities. The Odessa, Nikolaev and Chernomorsk ports should be privatized, reports Railway Supply magazine.
As for the passenger complex of the Odessa port, it will be transferred to a concession. The MIU is preparing the necessary legislative changes and carrying out appropriate work with the State Property Fund.
The Minister of Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov announced the completion of the construction of the second track on the Chernomorsk – Beregovoe section. Traffic on a new track (6.5 km) will be opened on November 4.
