Community Input Sought for Manchester Oxford Road Station Scheme

A public consultation, running from January 20 to February 28, invites feedback on the proposed designs and impacts. Residents and commuters are encouraged to share their views on construction, environmental factors, and overall accessibility.

Manchester City Council leader Bev Craig highlighted the importance of the project for the city’s economic growth. She emphasized the need for a modern, accessible station that meets the demands of tens of thousands of daily passengers.

Once completed, Manchester Oxford Road Station will handle 14 trains per hour, up from 12, making it a key hub in Manchester’s growing transport network. Further public consultation and formal applications will follow before construction begins.
