Localization of Stadler passenger car production in Kazakhstan continues

The timeline provided by “Passenger Transport” company outlines the stages of this process, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
In 2022, Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ) placed an order for 537 cars with Stadler, leading to the Tulpar factory falling under their management.

Initial deliveries are scheduled for 2025, with a localization level of 9.4%, projected to reach 35.2% by 2029.
Stadler has already enlisted over 30 Kazakhstani companies as potential suppliers and is negotiating with the French company Constellium for the production of aluminum bodies.
These steps underscore Kazakhstan’s commitment to developing local manufacturing and creating new jobs in the country.
