Interpipe NTZ won the tender for the supply of 4.4 thousand units of solid-rolled railway wheels totaling UAH 136 million for Ukrzaliznytsia JSC.

The shipment of thw wheels must be carried out to the customer by the end of 2021, informs Railway Supply magazine.

The UZ Production Support Center branch purchased:

  • solid-rolled wheel with ultrasonic inspection to dia. 957 / 175 mm – 3415 units;
  • solid-rolled wheel with ultrasonic inspection to dia. 957 / 190 mm – 979 units

MC Trade Ukraine LLC also took part in the tender, presenting the products of the Kazakh manufacturer Prommashkomplekt, but Interpipe NTZ offered a lower price.

Optimal solution for truing locomotive wheels

At the end of 2020, Ukrzaliznytsya purchased 10.7 thousand solid-rolled wheels, which is significantly less than the volume of previous years. In 2017-2018 Ukrzaliznytsia acquired 61.3 thousand solid-rolled railway wheels.
