Inland Rail Speeds Up Bridge Removal Work in Euroa
26.06.2025
Inland Rail has made rapid progress in Euroa by removing the Anderson Street bridge to clear space for a modern vehicle underpass and support double-stacked freight train clearance. This is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.

The project, launched in late May 2025, is led by Inland Rail’s construction partner, John Holland. The bridge dismantling is a key milestone in transforming the Euroa Station Precinct into a future-ready rail corridor.

Inland Rail modernizes Euroa Station for freight and passenger needs
Alongside the bridge removal, Inland Rail is realigning the east track to form a new west track. This realignment increases capacity and improves reliability for future freight operations through the region.
Construction also includes a new platform installation, improved car parking facilities, and upgraded passenger access infrastructure, including new ramps, lifts, and stairways.
Inland Rail project enhances station access and pedestrian links
To better connect the station with the local community, Inland Rail is creating an open forecourt and new pedestrian pathways. These additions will make crossing the rail corridor safer and more convenient for residents.
The project supports Inland Rail’s broader goal of improving regional logistics infrastructure while delivering clear benefits to local commuters. Enhancements to platform access and parking will increase daily convenience for travelers.
By delivering multiple upgrades at once, Inland Rail and its partners are reshaping Euroa into a safer, more efficient transport hub. The improvements will benefit both freight transport operators and the local community.
