Indian Railways is targeting $ 15.54 billion in critical projects. The total length of “supercritical” railway projects is 3,750 km, their cost will be about $ 5.36 billion (396.63 billion rupees).

Indian Railways has set a target of 58 “supercritical” and 68 “critical” rail projects worth more than $ 15.54 billion (1.15 trillion rupees) over the next few years, informs Railway Supply magazine, citing Indian Railways.

These projects are expected to provide new rail services, increased safety, increased train speeds and increased line capacity.

About 27 projects will be completed by December this year, and two projects will be completed by March next year.

According to the Ministry of Railways, about 29 supercritical projects were commissioned last year, worth $ 1.57 billion (115.88 billion rupees), with a length of 1,044 kilometers.

Meanwhile, 68 mission-critical projects will cover a total length of 6,913 kilometers and will cost about $ 10.23 billion (Rs 757.36 billion).
