In California, the first push-pull train Venture by Siemens Mobility has launched

The train, consisting of 6 cars and the Charger SC-44 locomotive, began its route along the Oakland – Bakersfield line, spanning 454 km, this is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
For the return direction, a cab car, converted from an EMD F40PH locomotive, with a baggage compartment is currently used, but it is planned to be replaced with a cab car.

The cars, manufactured at the Siemens factory in Sacramento, are designed for operation at a maximum speed of 200 km/h and have stainless steel bodies.
In 2019, the local transportation department, Caltrans, ordered 7 trains (a total of 49 cars) for $132 million.
Test operation was planned to begin in 2020 but only commenced in December 2023.
The remaining trains are expected to be launched by the end of 2025.
The total number of ordered Venture cars for carriers in the US and Canada exceeds 900 units.
To produce them, Siemens Mobility is establishing a second manufacturing facility in the US.
