Grain transportation increased by 63% in September

According to operational data, in September 2022, Ukrzaliznytsia transported 3.4 million tons of grain cargo and milled products. This is 63.2% more than in August this year. It is reported by Railway Supply magazine with a link to the official website of the carrier.
Most of the grain was transported for export – more than 3 million tons (+91.5% compared to August), in domestic traffic – about 322 thousand tons.
Almost 902,000 tons of grain were transported through land border crossings, and 2,164,000 tons of grain were transported through seaports.
Recall that in September “Ukrzaliznytsia” continued the trend of growth in freight traffic. Thus, according to operational data, almost 11.7 million tons of cargo were transported last month, which is 8.4% more than in August.
