Global Ocean Link and Maersk launch a route from Gdansk to Ukraine

The Ukrainian company Global Ocean Link (GOL), with the support of the Maersk Line shipping line, organized a regular container train on the route “Gdansk (Poland) – Ukraine”. The trains go to the station Mostiska, then the goods are distributed along routes in the direction of Kyiv, Ternopil, Vinnitsa, Kharkiv, Dnipro and Odessa. Transit time for delivery of cargo in the main directions is less than 5 days, informs railway magazine Railway Supply citing information from GOL.

Global Ocean Link has its own container fleet of over 150 TEU.

In early 2020, GOL launched an experimental container train from Ukraine to the port of Rotterdam (Netherlands). “Since then, on an ongoing basis, we have been carrying out railway transportation to Poland, Germany and the Benelux countries,” the message says.
